Our Interview with Parfait Lingerie! (PART TWO)

Parfait is a brand our store loves to carry and customers love to wear! Their blog is full of fun stories and interviews like the one below; and inspired us to start a blog of our own! Last summer we were lucky enough to be featured, and we're so excited to share that interview with you in 4 parts. Parfait: Why is it important for women to get a professional bra fitting?   Christine:  Women’s bodies never really stop changing and I feel that is the most important reason to come in at least once or twice a year for a professional fitting.  A woman may gain or lose weight, she may be pregnant or have just given birth, or had a procedure, or is going through puberty or menopause, or so many other factors, and all these things can affect the size and style of bra that would be best for her.  Sometimes a style she has been wearing for years is no longer right for her body.  A professional fitting can diagnose and fix any bra issues she has been having. I Tried Pole Dancing!

I like to work out the same way your dog likes to take medication.            I don't...Which is why I constantly have to trick myself into just walking inside a gym. Rap yoga? Fun! Weight lifting? Not for me.   So when a friend asked if I wanted to take a pole dancing class, of course I was like "Hell yea!"   I mean, have you seen the abs on those girls? They're the abs of my dreams ! Those women twirl around the pole with Michelle Obama arm s ! Plus I work at a lingerie store...How could I not tag along? This was an opportunity to live life brazenly. (see what I did there?) If I was going to pull the wool over my own eyes, this would be how. Call it the hidden pill in my cold cuts. This was going to be fun. So I dug up my tiniest pair of workout shorts and headed over to Lovely Lioness Pole Dance & Ariel Fitness in Neptune. After accidentally walking into the hairdresser next door ... Christine Longette:  It’s kind of a funny story.  A few years back I had been frustrated at my job where my boss haphazardly decided to close the office over the holidays and leave all the staff without pay for 2 weeks.  During that 2 weeks, my one and only bra that really fit somehow disappeared.  In looking around for a store near my home that sold my size (34G) I found that there weren’t any unless I drove over 30 minutes away.  So… I guess I was inspired by my own need, and knew that couldn’t be the only woman in my area who wears a hard to find size. There's something very chic about hi-tech intimacy. (And I think Gretchen Weiners would agree.) Believe it or not, sex toys can actually be fashionable, sleek and designed rather than just made. Smooth Transitions

I wholeheartedly believe that the key to any seasonal transition is layering. Getting cold? Throw on a chunky sweater or wrap. Still cold? Try a scarf. Heat finally kicks in? Take it all off again. It's so incredibly simple ...PLUS you can mix and match different colors and patterns into your outfit. BUT every good layering outfit needs a base; and here's our favorite...
